Almost no one ever thinks about when they will be doing something for the last time. It’s always just another day as usual, but everything has a last time, even though we always take it for granted. The last time you and your friends played outside as kids; The last time you had your favorite food; The last time you visited that place you really like; The last time you go to your job; The last time you petted your cat or dog; The last time you drank from your favorite mug before you lost it; The last time you spoke or saw that one friend or relative before they moved away; The last time you hugged your loved one and told them that you love them; The last time you told them “See you later.” Not even a leaf falls from a tree without God’s consent and even those will one day fall for the last time before their tree is no longer around to provide shade and comfort to those who seek its shelter and beauty. Praise be given and glorified be His name, for our Lord knows what’s best for us
